Me and My weirdness..

Sometimes,I feel suddenly sad. Sometimes, I'm just too sensitive over something insignificant. But that's still me.

Trust me, I only show my true self to the people that I've been comfortable with. Do you know? Many others might think that I'm always happy. A cheerful girl. It's because I don't want them to be much worry of me. In reverse,to the the people I really love and care about, I usually show my weakness. I want them to accept me as what I actually am, not the fake me I always portray on.

The Day when I Meet You

The day when I meet you
I still remember that day..
The sun shined so bright
I was overwhelmed feeling nervous
Yet you calmed me with your smile

Yes, your smile was too sweet
You told me many things
You taught me patiently
You’re like an angel

Days and time slowly passed by
The day when I meet you second time
You’re still smiling so wide
You said sorry because you couldn’t be with me

The third time I met you,
I realised that you’re such hot and cold guy
Sometimes you’re kind and warm
Most of the time you’re as cold as an ice

Jade..
After the third time we met,
You’re being weird
You become someone I’ve never known
We start to grow a distance.

The days when we met, I’ll never forget that.

Note : Mmm.. it's about my ex-crush :D Don't mind me, I found it somewhere in my laptop among my old files and I just want to post it.

One sided love.

Pikiran ku penuh.. hati ini juga sesak. Cinta ini vague, tak pasti dan ambigu. Entah bagaimana aku harus menghadapinya. Aku lelah. Aku ingin berlari dan melarikan diri. Kabur dari segala hingar bingar rasa ini. Mungkin aku mulai serakah, merasa ingin memilikinya. Mungkin cinta ini memang hanya aku saja. Aku ingin berhenti.

I love a man. He's handsome, caring, and friendly. I don't know, but maybe it's just one sided love. He always cares me. Probably it's just as a friend or a work partner. All his attentions lead me into a wrong feeling. I'm tired. It's suffocafed. I want to stop. But, I don't know if I can.

Sorry, this is the first time for me to post something personal like this in my blog. If you happen to read it by accident, forgive me. I just need some space to run.. to be alone.. to be on my own. Try to understand.

JUMANJI VS ZATHURA (Movie Review)

Have you ever seen ‘Jumanji’ movie? Or does anyone of you have ever seen ‘Zathura’ movie? If you have ever seen both of them, you will know and realize that they have the same basis story since they are reflected on the same book which was written and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg. However, they also have many differences since they are created in the different years.
Jumanji movie is the movie which was created in 1995. Since it was made in the early years before Zathura was made, the setting and the atmosphere scenes of the movie were created with simple effects like “an old” movie. Most of the scenes were set in the wild jungle which mean stampedes, monsoon, poisonous flower and hungry foliage. This makes the movie a bit more logical in setting aspects than Zathura. Also, the content of the story in Jumanji was tighter than the one in Zathura movie. The plot of this movie can make us like riding roller coaster. Most scenes make us feel shocked and even scary. However, in the story, the effect of Jumanji game cannot bother much to their players. It is just capable to make the player “wait in the jungle” until there is another player that can roll a five or an eight to reveal the previous player. Furthermore, the touching part of Jumanji in the family theme is also different with Zathura. In Jumanji, the family theme is about bad relationship between the son, Alan, and his father. Alan, in the story, at that time was so callousness to his father and before he could apologize to him, Alan released to find out that his father was died.

Being Unconfident to Speak English (Small Research in My Class)

When I was in my 3rd semester, I was asked to write my essay assignment about one of the skill in English. That's why I conducted a small research at that time by interviewing my friends and my lecturers. I also gave my friends some questionnaires related to my small research. So, here's the result of my small research in the form of short essay.. :P

Nowadays, English language is become an important language to be learned by everyone. They, who lived in a country where English still become a foreign language, are trying to master all the skills required in English which are writing, listening, reading, and speaking skill. However, although many of them have learned those skills for many years, there are still some them who are shy to practice their ability in English, especially in speaking, even for the students who are taking an English language as their major. After asking the opinions from some students, at least I have discovered that they are unconfident to speak English under some particular reasons.
When I tried to ask the reason to the students of why they are still unconfident or shy to speak English, they have their own reasons that is different from others. One of students that I had been asked is Lilla. She is one of the student of English Department in my Reading class. She said that pronunciation is the most difficult thing to deal in speaking. The lack of pronunciation can lead the students into the feeling of being unconfident and shy to speak English. She also said in her statement that we will be so shy when we know that the way we pronounce the word is wrong and changing the meaning. The second student that I had been interviewed at that time is Fia. She seems to have the similar idea with Lilla. She said, “The wrong or lack of pronunciation can make the people misunderstanding with what I said.” I think what they said all are true, moreover the effect of being shy because of wrong pronunciation can come to us, if we talk with foreigners directly.

B. The Reason I choose “Hotel Transylvania” Movie
Hotel Transylvania is the movie I choose to be analyzed because this is kind of funny and cute movie. The animation is so good. That is why I am so attracted to watch and analyze this movie. I also can learn many things from this movie that being a parents is a litle bit difficult thing. Sometimes, we think that we should protect our children, but when they have grown up, we should let them free to choose their own future. It is also told that not every dark thing is a bad one. There might be a good thing in a dark side of something. In addition, besides watching and enjoying the movie, I also can find a lot of variations in English here. There is an Italian accent used by Dracula here that seems a litle bit different with the British accent.

C. Summary of Hotel Transylvania Movie
After the death of his wife, Martha who died because of incendiarism by humans doing, Count Dracula built a hotel named Hotel Transylvania. This hotel is actually built to take care and grow up his only daughter, Mavis far away from human civilization. Every monsters around the world are usually come to this hotel to go on vacation with their family because this is human-free and the safest place for monsters.
On the Mavis 118th birthday, Dracula had planned a great party for his lovely daughter. However, unexpectedly a 21-year-old Jonathan came to that hotel. Dracula wanted to drive away Jonathan, yet, some of the monster had suspected Jonathan as a human, so Dracula improvised a story that Jonathan is a Johnnystein, a distant cousin of Frank's right arm. Soon after that, Jonathan met Mavis. They got along each other. As the time pass by, Mavis seemed falling in love with Jonathan. On the other side, Dracula who was always afraid with human because of his memories in the past, find out that his daughter is very attracted to this man. He tried to erase the memory of Jonathan, but failed because he is wearing contact lens in his eyes. Because of this failure, Dracula tried to frighten Jonathan that if he did not want to go, Dracula would suck his blood.

Essay Analysis of She Walks in Beauty Poem

She Walks in Beauty is one of the poems written by George Gordon Byron. This poem is quite unique in terms of the choice and arrangements of the words and the implicit meaning in it. Many people think of this as a love poem, even when the speaker never once mentions being in love. If we have read the whole poem, we can feel how strong Byron’s admiration of the woman was. The use of soft and simple languages rather than heavy, intellectual words is also significant, as it demonstrates the pure, easily noticeable beauty of the woman. The woman portrayed in this poem must have been truly beautiful to catch Byron’s attention at once, and make him write such a vivid poem. So we can simply see that it is actually love poem that is created by Byron for the one he loves.

On the other hand, the speaker mostly talking about the beauty of a woman. According to dictionary.com, beauty is the quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind, whether arising from sensory manifestations (as shape, colour, sound, etc.), a meaningful design or pattern, or something else (as a personality in which high spiritual qualities are manifest). Yet, beauty in this poem is not only talking about the external appearance of the woman, but extends the internal aspect of woman.  The speaker seems to admire that woman by simply celebrating the beauty. In addition, the speaker or the speaker, really wants to emphasize the beauty of the woman with the use of a word “night” instead of “day” as she doesn’t really seem too bright to the other woman. However, she seems beautiful in a different way, just the way she is.

Analysis of Soliloquy I and II Poems

Soliloquy I and Soliloquy II are poems written by Richard Aldington. Both poems tell us about a dead man in a world war. However, we can see in those two poems that he wants to make a contrasting view about a dead man mentioned in the first poem and a dead man mentioned in the second poem. As we can see in his second poem (Soliloquy II), Richard was trying to deny his own opinion that he stated in the first poem (Soliloquy I).

In the first poem (Soliloquy I), the poet tells us that a dead man should not be like “carrion” that is wobbling roped upon a cart that can make everyone who see it feel sick about that (line 10-13). He argues in his first poem that a dead man should be dead naturally and beautifully in a peace (line 11-12). Yet, as what I have stated before, in his second poem (Soliloquy II), he tries to deny his own argument. If we see in his biography, the opinion that makes him denies his own opinion in Soliloquy I is because he has entered the army field. There he can feel that someone who died in the war is more beautiful than anything that cannot be compared to any other work of famous people (Francis Goya and Michael Angelo).

Paraphrase of Dreamtime Poem

In this homeland, Australia the invaders had arrived and take the place, the Aborigines that has become a stranger now, come to their spirit Ancestors with sorrow in their heart.

The Bora Ring (sacred place) and The Corroborees (Rituals ceremony) that once was Aborigines’ have all destroyed and gone.

The Aborigines ask their previous spirit Ancestors to listen to their complaint about their grievances and suffering.

They come not to disturb the rest of their Ancestors, but they come to grieve their Ancestors’ death.

The Ancestors that has been sacrificed for the life of their race (Aborigines) when the invaders split their blood (Aborigines’ blood)

Now, the present generation of Aborigines is seeking the strength and the wisdom that their Ancestors have in the past.

One legend told that when their race dies, their land also dies.

The Aborigines ask their spirit Ancestors to go with them from the land that has been taken away from them.

The Aborigines also ask their spirit Ancestors wake from their sleeping and lead them to the happy life that they can feel in the past before the invaders come.

Finally, the Aborigines only ask their spirit Ancestors to listen to their cries. They have felt desperate and giving up to their fate.
